99% of waste, turned into resources

At VIVES, almost 99% of the waste generated at our facilities is handled by authorised waste managers so it can be given a second life through recovery processes. This helps keep waste out of landfill and reduces the use of new raw materials. Part of these materials is reused in tile manufacturing, while another part is used in other construction materials.

up to 88% recycled content in selected models

Some collections incorporate a high percentage of recycled material, reaching up to 88% in YURI NT models. To manufacture the base material used in certain models (spray‑dried powder), we use recycled materials in part of the formulas, replacing water and virgin raw materials. Recovered materials include ceramic scraps, process water and sludge, dust and rejected pieces. In addition, recycled content is verified by an independent body and reported through environmental self‑declarations in accordance with UNE‑EN ISO 14021.

100% of water reused in the process

100% of the wastewater and ceramic sludge generated at our plants is sent for recycling. In cutting, polishing and grinding processes, industrial water is treated and reused within the process itself, preventing discharges and minimising the consumption of new water.

8,000 m² of solar panels, 40% daytime self‑consumption

We have 2 solar photovoltaic installations (more than 1,800 kWp and 8,000 m² of panels). Thanks to them, we cover approximately 16% of our total electricity consumption and reach 40% self‑consumption during the day, reducing dependence on non‑renewable sources and helping to lower our carbon footprint.

voc‑free product: better indoor air quality

Ceramic is an inert material: during manufacturing it is fired at over 1,000°C, which eliminates any organic residue. Therefore, in use it does not emit formaldehyde or other volatile organic compounds (VOCs), contributing to better indoor air quality.
