A and J's home; a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea
Alicante, Spain
The Mediterranean, the true protagonist of A and J's house, set the scene for the design of this modern 82m2 house.
With the restoration, the aim was to simultaneously update and renovate the house, turning it into a comfortable home and take advantage of its location on the seafront on the Campello promenade. The Mediterranean is prominent everywhere by just accessing the house, having removed the visual barriers, integrating the terrace inside, without losing the use of a large balcony. The neutral colours and austere lines of the furniture modernize the spaces without detracting from the prominence of the views. The materials that make up the overall aesthetics of the house were selected with the same philosophy - oak wood, black granite countertops ... modern basic materials.
White has been chosen for the walls, thus enhancing the light of the Alicante coast. And with care not to detract from the grandiose surroundings, the Volta team selected Nassau-R Crema porcelain stoneware 120x120cm. to tile all the floors and walls of the water areas; for its warm and relaxed tone, its discreet cement graphic and its large size with which an attractive uniformity is achieved.
