Azulejos Vives was born in 1957, a modest company that started to produce wall tiles in small sizes. The expansion and progress were the representative elements in the essence of Vives since the beginning and were decisive in its development.
1957 saw the birth of Tiles Vives, a modest tile company in the market began manufacturing ceramic wall tile in small formats. The growth and progress were representative of the essence of Vives from the start and encouraged its development.
In 1975 the demand rose in the ceramic sector. Vives took advantage of this opportunity and expanded the manufacturing possibilities. Since then, single fire floor tiles in bigger sizes have been included in the lines of production of the new plant Ceramica Vives.
The inauguration of a new plant of Azulejos Vives in 1986, was provided with high technology and with the most advanced manufacturing systems. The big sizes were the main ceramic products and the porous single fire wall tile was incorporated.
Vives specialization becomes evident with the opening of Arte y Diseño Cerámico, reaching one of its culminating moment. The activity of this plant is focused on the development, investigation and design of ceramic products. The manufacturing of third fire decors is included into the production system, as well as the hydro cutting process.
Logistics center, loading bay, offices... Instalation where process rationalization, efficient space distribution and high technology enable us to obtain unlimited functionality.
The continuos growing of Vives manufacturing capacity in the market allowed the expansion and development of the premises by inaugurating a new plant in 1996, Ceramica Vives. Vives Azulejos y Gres, already consolidated in the Spanish market, was expanded trough the export of ceramic products, achieving a worldwide presence.
With the impulse of a new century, Vives opens a new production plant. In 2000 Ferraes Cerámica was inaugurated, a new factory equipped with latest technology. The range of ceramic products is extended with the manufacture of big size porcelain tiles (up to 60x120 cm). Nowadays, this is one of the main Vives ceramic products thanks to the combination of an innovative design with the best technical solutions.
