Ca Lluís House

Xeresa, Spain

With a marked rustic character, this house built in the first half of the 20th, has undergone a profound rehabilitation to give it a new contemporary style without losing any of its essence.

One of the main changes in the interior design of the house has been the search for uniformity and cohesion between the different central areas by using the same materials for the different surfaces. For that reason, the hexagon Bushmills Multicolor 23x26,6 cm combined with the hexagon Rift Crema 23x26,6 cm cover the walls and floors of the living room, the kitchen, the corridors, one of the bathrooms and the bedroom. The geometrical design of the hexagon Bushmills together with the original design of the Kokomo Blanco Oro 20x20 cm porcelain tiles present in one of the bathrooms, incorporate a modern and innovative touch to the home. Also, the warm tones of these tiles match perfectly with the predominant materials used in the furniture and decoration (wood and natural stone), achieving a perfect harmony between traditional and contemporaneity.

The project, located in Xeresa, was carried out by the architectural studio Pepe Cabrera, and the photographs were taken by Adrián Mora Maroto.
